The porcelain is a hard durable surface. Fiberglass tubs and showers must be treated differently as they are more easily damaged by harsh cleaning materials.

When using any cleaners keep safety in mind. Many cleaners are dangerous and can harm your skin and especially are dangerous to your eyes. Read all warnings on the product label completely. Some product produce or contain irritating fumes as well. Provide adaquate ventilation.

If all else fails, some tub materials may be re-finished rather than replacing the tub.
